October 18, 1971 - May 28, 2023
Lincoln, Nebraska - Ronald H. Lucas II, 51, passed away on May 28th, 2023 after suffering a stroke. At the time of death he was surrounded by his close family. Continuing a life of generosity, Ron was an organ donor and successfully saved lives at the expense of his own.
Ron was a uniquely passionate person. Living the majority of his life in Washington state, he was a loud and proud Seattle sports fan. He was also a self-proclaimed meat-smoking connoisseur, often times hosting friends and family and cooking for them on his Traeger. Ron also enjoyed photography, road trips in his Jeep Wrangler, and playing with his three granddaughters. He had a contagious love and care for the little things in life.
Ron's greatest joy, however, was Mint Chocolate Chip ice-cream, which ironically coincided with his loathed nickname of "Chip".
Ron will be honored in a celebration of life at 2 pm on June 17th, 2023 at Mercy City Church, 6224 Logan Ave. Lincoln NE 68507

Ron, I will definitely miss you. Thank you being a great friend and leader. I appreciate all that you have done for me at work and outside of work. I'm going to miss our talks in the morning about your smoked cream cheese and meats and our talks about sports, movies and TV shows. But most importantly, I enjoyed you sharing your Faith. Your Light shined so bright when you talked about God and about your family. You will always have a place in my heart bro. You left a tremendous impact in my life and those around you. I'm so blessed to have known such a great man like yourself.

Ron... thank you for showing me what is possible. Thank you for your example as a man. Death is that state in which a man exist in 3 places, the mind of his friends and colleagues, in the heart of his wife and children and at the side of his God. Be at peace my friend, you did well.
