Tacoma, Washington - Sandy passed away on February 13, 2021 at the age of 79. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1959. Sandy was a loving wife and mother to her family and cooked many a fantastic meal for everyone. She had become an accomplished cook and baker and whenever anyone stopped by to visit, there was always a piece of cake, pie, or cookies to share with a cup of coffee. There were many summers spent at Spanaway at the "lake place" where many memories were made. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family and friends with many great days spent on the boat at Pillar Point and Chinook reeling in salmon and spending the evenings around the campfire. Several years ago, she was able to fulfill a couple of lifelong dreams, making trips to Australia and Alaska. She was married to her high school sweetheart and the love of her life for 61 years. Together they raised three sons along with Darrell Hamlin "their fourth son". She is survived by her husband Don, sons Don Jr. (Lisa), Steve (Kim), and Jeff, along with grandsons Tyler, John, Will, Michael, and Brent. Sandy will be missed by all, but our memories of her will live on. There will be a celebration of her life at a future date.
