Sheila Norton Obituary
July 20, 1942 - July 11, 2023
Gig Harbor, Washington - Sheila Kay Norton (Burke), born in Tacoma, passed away on Tuesday, July 11th after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was 80 years old. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing. Sheila was a resident of Gig Harbor for over 50 years where she met her husband, Larry Norton. Together, they combined their families and raised 5 children. They were married for over 45 years. Sheila retired from Purdy Costless Pharmacy in 2006 after 30 years as a Book-keeper. She loved her aerobics friends (her "Step Sisters") and considered them family. She was a beautiful woman with a gracious heart.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence P. Norton, Children: Duane DeBock (Brenda), Dawn Jury, Stephanie Moore (Darren), Adrienne Norton, Jennifer Murphy (Ryan). She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Haven Of Rest, 8503 WA-16, Gig Harbor , WA 98332 at 3:00 pm on Thursday,
July 20th, 2023. A reception will immediately follow at Rosedale Village Community Center, 4203 Rosedale St NW,
Gig Harbor, WA 98335.
Sheila will be laid to rest at the Rosedale Cemetery.
