Tacoma, Washington - Tom (Tommy) Bader was born to Pauline and Bernard Bader on August 19,1957 in Tacoma, WA. He passed away peacefully at his home on October 18, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Tom is survived by Terry, his wife of 41 years, their sons Jeffrey and Christopher, and grandson Jameson. He is also survived by siblings Paul (Gloria, deceased) Bader, Stephen (Judy) Bader, Marilyn Bader-Nesse, Joan (Barry, deceased) Alsos, David (Twyla) Bader, Sharon (Jim) Tollefson and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Pauline, and brother Dan Bader.
Tom was a graduate of Bellarmine High School and attended TCC, although his real education came from Coast House Materials and the similar industry jobs that followed. Tom was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Vinyl Night . His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends and making memories with the love of his life, Terry. He loved reminiscing about his adventures at Horsehead Bay and his childhood shenanigans around Old Town Tacoma.
Tom will forever be deeply loved and sorely missed. He was a gentle soul with a big heart who found great satisfaction in helping others. A natural athlete, Tom excelled at snow sports, water sports, tennis, and golf. Whether he was coaching his sons in their early years or cheering them on from the stands as they grew, Tom never missed a game and was outspokenly proud of his boys.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Tom's brother, David, for his unwavering support and encouragement throughout Tom's illness.
