Tacoma, Washington - Thomas (Tom) Lee Nordi, 82, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and children.
Born November 15, 1939 in Tacoma, To Arthur and Louise Nordi. He attended St. Patrick's Catholic School, Bellarmine High School and graduated from Stadium in 1958. He went on to study Business at the University of Puget Sound and was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. Tom was an Independent Insurance Agent serving the Tacoma community for over 30 years. He was a Charter Member of The Rotary Club of Tacoma North. He loved giving back to the greater Tacoma area.
Tom was a family guy. It meant the world to him to be surrounded by those he loved most. Whether it was watching the WSU Cougars, sitting on the dock on Wollochet Bay or on the beach at Dash Point; he just wanted to be with his family. He loved boat rides with his grandkids. Tom created a family legacy of yearly ski trips to White Pass and this has continued with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. You could often find Tom on the golf course with friends and with his wife, Judy. He had a sneaky, hidden talent of drawing people as cartoons; maybe this was why he was always making funny faces in pictures. He was a spontaneous traveler, had a love for food especially spaghetti and meatballs and orange soda. He loved animals; Boston Terriers in particular. Tom was an easy person to be around, always warm, welcoming and interested in your life. All of these characteristics encompass who Tom was. He loved life and wanted everyone to enjoy it alongside him. He will deeply missed by this family and friends.
His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his wife of 59 years, Judy. Children Rick (Denise), Joe (Kim) and Bitsy (Scott); six grandkids; one great grandchild and his sister, Janet Vosberg. He was preceded in death by his parents Art and Louise Nordi and his brother George.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1315 N. Stevens Street, Tacoma. Please make donations to: Mary Bridge Children's, Tree House: A Place for Families 402 South I Street, Tacoma, WA 98405

I first met Tom when he represented United Pacific Insurance Company in Tacoma. Great guy, great ambassador for the profession. It was a pleasure doing business with Tom; always upbeat, positive and fun to be around....even as he faced different challenges along the way. RIP, Tom. You'll be long remembered!

I will never forget how kind Tom was in calling my husband as he was ailing. Those calls were so caring . Just as his father would have done. Rest In Peace Tom. A life well lived.
