Buddy Tidd Obituary
He was born August 29, 1937 in Seymour, IN to Herman Paul Tidd and Rena Weddle Tidd. He married Crayetta Faye Hazelwood, who preceded him in death in 2013. Survivors include two sons, Bradley M. (LaWanda) Tidd of Seymour and Brian S. (Pamela) Tidd of Seymour; seven grandchildren, Breanna, Briar, Brielyn, Maeleigh, Alexander, Victoria, and Katherine; and seven great grandchildren, Kilynn, Liam, Finley, Zyan, Nora, Nolan, and Mila.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Crayetta Faye Tidd; and a grandchild, Maggie Tidd.
Buddy was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a carrier and a clerk for 36 years, retiring in 1993.
Buddy was a honest hard working family man. A role model for everyone he met. Buddy loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching college basketball and most of all Kentucky Wildcats Basketball. Buddy was a tremendous athlete participating in football, basketball, baseball, billards, water skiing, softball, bowling, ping pong, handball, racket ball and the toughest sport that he loved Golf. He will be sadly missed by all he knew.
Visitation will take place from 1-4PM, Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Voss & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour. Graveside services will be private for family.

Buddy Tidd! What a wonderful human being, I could never rise to the level of man that he was but then again very few people could. It was a great pleasure knowing him.

Buddie was a common, everyday guy to those of us who were not athletically gifted. Always loved watching him compete in our school sports programs & he always represented our team, school and city. Classmate who will be sadly missed but certainly not forgotten.
