David Wayne Hukill

1962 - 2014

David Wayne Hukill was born March 5, 1962, in Seymour, to Richard Hukill and Martha (Thompson) Hukill. He passed away Friday, July 4, 2014, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Retired from 20-plus years in the U.S. Army, Dave went on to receive his bachelor's degree in project management and his master's degree in business administration from Colorado Technical University. Most recently, he worked as the lead safety technician for the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado.
Dave was preceded in death by a daughter, Amber Hukill, and his father, Richard Hukill.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela C. Hukill; two sons, Joshua Hukill and Colton Long; two daughters, Ashley Hukill and Rachel Long; his mother, Martha Hukill; and two sisters, Cathy Brown and Connie Littlejohn.
Visitation will be from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, Colorado.
A graveside service with full military honors will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area B, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Colorado.
Dave's Celebration of Life will be conducted after the burial from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Dave and Pam's house. Call 719-488-8609 for address and directions.
