Hazel Combs Obituary
She was born in Bacon County to the late Mitchell Fullard and Inez Taylor Fullard. She was employed for a number of years with Gilman Kraft Bag and had worked numerous other jobs before staying home to take care of her children.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Combs; son, Roy Eugene Combs; and sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Deese.
She is survived by her three children, James Michael Medders Sr. (Ruby) of Valdosta, Cheryl Stubbs of Yulee, Fla., and Susan Renee Williams (Jeff) of St. Marys; 13 grandchildren, James Michael Medders Jr., Jonathan Medders, Christopher Eugene Combs (Sharee), Cassy Jewel (Danny), Amanda Pearson (Stuart), Harley Briggs, Victoria Green (Ben), Katie Lee (Mason), Trey Stubbs, Jamie Walls (Talon), Jeffery Williams, Jarrod Williams (Jordan) and John Williams; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2025, at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Hargraves Chapel Cemetery in Millwood. The family began receiving friends at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Monday.
