HAM - M. Anthony "Tony" Ham peacefully went to be with the Lord at his home Oct. 7, 2024, at the age of 72 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Cynthia "Cindy" R. Ham. He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Victor (Ashlee) Ham and Nicholas (Deana) Ham; grandchildren, Merrick, Julia, Duncan and Bennett; sister, Annette Willis; nieces, Teri, Sarah and Edie; and nephews, Browning and Caleb.
Tony lived a life of service to his family, friends, community and state. His faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ guided his life and his decision making as Clerk of Superior Court of Brantley County and as a member of the Okefenoke REMC and Oglethorpe Power Corporation Boards of Directors.
Tony treated everyone with the same level of respect and dignity regardless of background and had a long-lasting positive impact on so many. He loved the outdoors and created great memories fishing on the Satilla River. He also enjoyed working the earth and farmed most of his adult life. He did both with a smile until he was no longer physically able to do so. Most of all, he loved his wife and family and cheered them on no matter what. His positive mantra of "every day's a holiday and every meal's a feast" allowed him to stay grateful and feel blessed regardless of the situation. He will be missed.
The family requests your presence at Tony's memorial service, which will be Nov. 24, 2024, at Jacobs Plantation, 2686 Caney Bay Road in Nahunta, Ga. Please RSVP simply by emailing your name and the number of people attending to
[email protected].
The event will be 2-6 p.m., and food will be served at 3 p.m. Everything will be provided, but please bring memories to share.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the community Brantley County volunteer fire department of your choice in Tony's memory. The family is looking forward to celebrating Tony's life with those who knew and loved him.
