Ashley Morton Obituary
Ashley "Mrs. Ashley" Morton, 42, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2025, at her place of residence.
Ashley was born in Paducah on Aug. 20, 1982. She was a woman of whimsy and full of love and laughter. She was always smiling and never failed at putting a smile on the faces of others. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Piper. Her nurturing nature gave her a great love for all children. She worked as a child care provider until she was unable to work any longer, and took great pride in the multitude of children's lives she positively impacted throughout her career. Ashley enjoyed the outdoors and gardening and never missed a chance to dance in the rain.
Ashley is survived by her husband of 17 years, Joshua Morton, of Benton; one daughter, Piper Clara-Jean Morton of Benton; one brother, Jonathan Beckner; and her parents, Sonya and Larry Beckner.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Norma Hargrove.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donation to Inheritance of Hope, 1314 Chattahoochee Ave NW, Suite K2, Atlanta, GA 30318.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann.

Hello. This may not be a "memory" but I am the daughter of Ashley. She was a great mother, and to the people who gave us gifts (and to my uncles and aunt), I thank you all for being with us during this hard time. For plans for the 2025-2026 year, I´m going to Disney on the 12th of January,and my birthday (and our book fair) is in a week! I hope everyone has a great day.
