Emilie Ann Hafer

Emilie departed this earth knowing she was deeply loved and treasured by family and friends. Emilie greeted everyone as a dear friend. Her radiant smile and sense of humor encouraged conversation and warmth. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Born in Geneva, New York, the third of four daughters of Mildred Berryman Thiery and Herbert William Thiery, Emilie was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her cherished husband of 23 years, Michael Hafer, his son, Mike Hafer, his daughter Jennifer (Allen); Emilie's son Greg Johnson (Karen); grandchildren Jay Danner (Marcella), Jill Stewart (Caleb), Madelyn Johnson, Alexandra Johnson, MacKenzie Hafer and Charlotte Bruce; great grandsons, Malcolm Danner and his younger brother, Elliot Danner; her treasured sister, Marybeth Michelson-Thiery, nieces and nephews; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Julie Danner (Mark) and her devoted first husband of 35 years, Bob Johnson.
