Jerry Chambers Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Jerry Chambers, of Jasper, Georgia who left this world on January 24, 2025 at the age of 78. He was a man who lived with kindness, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to both his family and his faith.
Throughout his life, he demonstrated an incredible love for his family and his community. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Debbie Chambers, with whom he shared 55 years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. As a father, he raised his son, Jeremy Chambers, and daughter, Lauren Chambers, with laughter, patience, and the deep understanding that family was the heart of everything.
His love only grew as a grandfather to Roland, Brett, Miles and Julian, who will forever cherish the memories of their time with him - from beach outings to afternoons spent going to the movies, his joy and laughter were always a constant presence.
Jerry was a man of faith who found great purpose in serving his church and community. Whether it was volunteering his time, offering a kind word, or helping those in need, his giving heart and willingness to serve others were a testament to the depth of his character. His commitment to helping others was only surpassed by his love for God, which guided every aspect of his life.
Outside of his work in the church, Jerry had a passion for the beach, where he spent countless hours enjoying the sun and the waves with his family. He was also an avid softball player, a sport that he loved for the camaraderie, teamwork, and fun it brought into his life. His other sports passion was his beloved Atlanta Falcons to whom he had been a loyal fan for decades.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and joy. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jerry is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and a community of friends and loved ones. He will forever be loved and remembered.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Julie Chambers.
