FLORENCE SINCLAIR Obituary

Einan's Funeral Home

Our most beloved mother, grandmother, nana, great-grandmother and friend entered into the arms of her heavenly Father on December 6, 2009. She was born February 14, 1926, in Missoula, Montana, the fourth of seven children to Carl and Jennie (Owens) O'Loughlin. She attended Catholic schools through high school, Sacred Heart Academy and immediately entered nurse's training. It was during this time she met her future husband, Duncan Sinclair. They married August 10, 1946, in Philadelphia, PA, where they had their first son, before moving to Richland in 1948. It was here they built their lives and had six more sons and three daughters, ten in all.

During the many years of raising her children, she put her nursing skills to work mending split chins, broken bones, and stubbed toes. Florence was always grateful for a home full of laughter and games and a backyard used for endless hours of baseball. Florence was an avid sports fan and could be seen at many baseball and football games around town. She enjoyed seeing her kids and grandchildren participate in all of their activities. She was preceded in death by her husband Duncan; her brothers, Jim and Jack O'Loughlin; and her beloved sister, Kay Dumont. She is survived by her ten children: Duncan, Bill (Sherry), Rich (Marilee), Paul (Donna), Mike (Karen), Mary Armatis (Kim), Patti Baldwin (Phil), Pete, John (Kathy) and Cathy Franklin (John). She also leaves behind 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings Dick and Joe O'Loughlin and Jane Preuninger.

A viewing will be on held Friday, December 11, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Einan's Funeral Home with Rosary to follow at 4 p.m. A funeral Mass at Christ the King Catholic Church in Richland will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009, with a reception to follow at the Knights of Columbus.

Our only regret is that we are not with our dear friends Bill and Sherry on this day celebrating the life of their wonderful, salt of the earth mom, Flo. Everyone admired her tenacious spirit and seemingly unending patience. We all wanted to be the kind of parent that she was. We want to let you (all the sinclair kids & family) know that all the Richardson's are with you today and going forward we can take comfort in sharing stories of our wonderful parents from that greatest generation. We love all you Sinclairs! Grant and Julie Richardson and the whole Richardson clan

Our neighborhood mother, barber, caretaker, supporter. The soft smile and warm heart. Every kid around wanted a mom like Mrs. Sinclair - truly the best. I was indeed blessed knowing this lady and that a visit with her was as convenient as walking across the back alley. Special times like loading into the old station wagon and going to watch a western at the drive-in, or the everyday times of just hanging out at the little B House.
