FLOYD WATSON Obituary

Mueller's Greenlee Funeral Home

Floyd Gene Watson, Sr. was born June 29, 1945 in Thomastown, Louisiana to Beatrice Kinsey and Clifton (Happy) Watson. He moved to Pasco, Washington in 1964 to live with his aunt Jessie LaGrone. Floyd joined the Marines in 1966 and was granted an honorable discharge in 1968. After returning to Pasco, Floyd attended Columbia Basin College where he received a BA degree. He worked in several areas of Social Services including the State Employment Office, Community Action Committee and as a counselor for the Juvenile Justice Center. In 1974 he met and married Elnora White. To this union was born a daughter, Jessica Watson and a son Floyd Watson, Jr. Floyd loved playing the guitar and trumpet and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves to mourn, remember and celebrate his life, his wife Elnora Watson; his daughter Jessica Watson; and son Floyd Watson, Jr.; four grandsons and one granddaughter, Tyrone, Trevont{e'}, Jaylon, Kyle and J'lonnie; his mother Beatrice Watson (Grant); sisters Shirley (Raymond), Connie Watson; brothers Clifton (Dawn) and Frank (Rose), and a host of other family and friends including members of the American Legion Post 213.

The graveside service will be Friday, December 19, 2014 at 1:00pm at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.
