Jeanette Simington Obituary
Jeanette Simington
November 8, 1950 - December 24, 2021
Kennewick, Washington - Jeanette Deanne Simington, 71, passed on December 24, 2021. She was born in Santa Cruz, California on November 8, 1950 to Donald Lee and Blanche "Alice" Adams. She had an older brother Steve and sister Donalla. Her father worked for the US Forest Service as a Fire Control Officer and they lived in numerous National Forest locations for the first 20 years of her life. She lived in Frazier Park, California in the early to mid 60's and attended Bakersfield High School later graduating from Tulelake High School.
In 1973 she married Jack Simington and moved to Salem, Arkansas where they owned and operated an automotive repair shop and a NAPA parts store where she was the business bookkeeper and manager. While there, they had two girls, Melissa and Kristen. In 1980 Jeanette and family moved to Tri-Cities where Jack became a law enforcement officer. She worked as the City Treasurer for Benton City for a number of years during which time they had their third child, Aimee Beth. Jeanette had also worked in several dental offices in the Tri-Cities as a scheduler and insurance assignment specialist.
In 1998 she became the Office Manager for the Washington State Fraternal Order of Police where she helped develop the non-profit law enforcement organization, establishing their bookkeeping and programs. She also helped charter and serve on the FOP Tri Cities Local Lodge #7 Auxiliary and served two terms on the FOP National Auxiliary Board as the Sgt-at-Arms.
In 2012 Jeanette retired and became a full-time mom and grandmother. She loved being "Nana" and doing things for her grandchildren – Kaylee, Jace, Aidan, Kinzlee, Autumn Grace, Benson, Jett and her Great Grandchild Cade. She adored her three son-in-laws (JR, Mike and Mike) and reminisced to them how she too was an "outlaw" to the Simington/Christian family. In addition, she cared full time for her near blind mother, Alice, until 2019 when she passed away at the age of 93.
During her retirement she took up photography and then anything to do with crafting. As of late designing and making T-shits were her latest ventures. She supported the police officers at every turn and if you were looking for a fight all you needed do was talk or message negatively against them and she would respond with a vengeance. You never saw her far from her I-pad!
Jeanette loved RVing, travel and camping. Her Facebook posts became hilarious over the last several years explaining her exploits, adventures and mishaps. She went to Facebook Jail several times for her anti liberal position on world affairs.
Her greatest achievement was being married to Jack for 48+ years. She was given the nickname "The Saint" by the FOP members because of everything she had to endure. She loved him unconditionally and he her! She will always be loved and missed by all.
