Linda Dukelow Obituary

Linda passed away on November 29, 2025. Born in Portland, OR, on June 17, 1942, and adopted by Lenus and Helen Boys soon after birth, she was raised in Woodland, WA. She attended University of Portland for 2 years, transferred to WSU and in 1964 obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She met Gary at WSU when he offered a ride on a Harley Davidson. Their lifelong journey started on that Harley. They married in 1964 and moved to the Tri-Cities in 1969. Her best and most important accomplishments were her marriage of 62 years and raising her family of three children and spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids.

She was the glue that held the family together. Every birthday, anniversary, holiday, resulted in a card with a crisp bill of money and a well wish to every single member of the immediate and extended family.

She was an avid baker of cookies for family and friends, experimenting with new recipes often.

An avid collector of Christmas ornaments with a large collection of nativity scenes, she celebrated Christmas leaving decorations and her Christmas tree up year-round.

They traveled the PNW in their RV with the Tumbleweed Sam's RV club and explored the US, traveling to many Marriott resorts.

Linda and Gary were rental property owners for over 45 years and were very active in the Benton Franklin Rental Owners Association (BROA), Washington State landlord/tenant organizations. She served on the boards of both local and state organizations as president, vice-president, director, and secretary. She had a comprehensive knowledge of the Landlord/Tenant Law and used her expertise to answer thousands of calls from both landlords and tenants throughout Washington, seeking advice and help on rental issues. She was a recipient of the prestigious Washington Landlord Associaton Peggy Ganson Award.

Linda was appointed to the Housing Authority of the City of Pasco and Franklin County by the Pasco City Council in June 2013 and served on the board, and as chairman for 2 years until her passing.

She is survived by her husband Gary, her sons Chris (Toby) Dukelow, Dana (Mike) Dukelow and her daughter Lee (Michael) Punch, her eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Foster and I enjoyed our friendship with Linda and Gary as fellow members of the Tumbleweed Sams. We looked forward to our campouts with them. Linda had such a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing stories of her life. We'll miss her laughter and her zest for life. She lived every moment. Rest in peace Linda.

As a long-time member and past president of BROA, I often would ask Linda for advice. She was a wealth of knowledge and fun to talk to. She will be greatly missed.

I was so sorry to see that Linda has passed. She was such a rock for her family. I went through school with her husband, Gary, and through 13 class reunions. I was always impressed and pleased when Linda came to those. Such a great supporter. I remember one reunion on their back porch singing the "fight song" at midnight! Enjoy your rest, Linda, you will be missed by many.

Linda was a charming, intelligent and lovely person. I first met her years ago, through her husband Gary, a friend & classmate of ours. I also had a cousin C. Kenoyer who spoke highly of Gary & Linda and their friendship & knowledge in the rental world. Condolences to Gary Dukelow and family.
