NATHANIEL ALEXANDER "NATE" DUTTON

NATHANIEL DUTTON Obituary

Hillcrest Memorial Center

Nathaniel Alexander "Nate" Dutton was called home by his Heavenly Father on Thursday, January 23rd 2014. He was 29 years of age. Nate passed away unexpectedly in his Kennewick home in the early morning hours while sleeping. He died of natural causes. His name, "Nathaniel," means "Gift of God," and so he was.

Nate was born in Lawrence, Kansas, on Father's Day, June 18th, 1984. At age seven he moved with his father to the Pacific Northwest. For most of his life Nate made his home in Kennewick, Washington, where he attended Kamiakin High School and later Columbia Basin College.

Nate was an employee of Moore Professional Property Maintenance of Kennewick, Washington, where he worked as a landscape specialist. He loved his job.

Nate was an outdoorsman. He loved snowboarding, waterskiing and hiking, and had a child-like appreciation for the wonders of nature. His interests included Christian apologetics and Bible study. He thoroughly enjoyed people of all ages, was devoted to his friends, and loved his family deeply.

In recent years, Nate served in youth ministries at Calvary Chapel Tri-Cities in Kennewick, Washington. In 2012 and 2013, he worked as a missionary based in Logan, Utah. At the time of his passing, he was attending Kennewick Baptist Church. Nate's passion in life was sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Nate will be remembered for his warm, outgoing personality, his kindness and courage, the pleasure he took in helping other people, and his insuppressible humor. Nate never met a stranger. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, his family most of all. He will forever be known as a commando for Christ.

Nate is survived by his father and mother, Bill and Lynda Dutton of Rochester, Washington; his sister Natalie Beach of San Diego, California; and his brothers, Brandon Beach of Beaverton, Oregon; Michael Beach and James Dutton of Kennewick, Washington.

A Celebration of Nate's Life is planned for 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 31st, at Kennewick Baptist Church.

Our deepest appreciation to all those who befriended and loved our precious Nate. He will be deeply missed, but we take great comfort in the knowledge that he is safely in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Revelation 21:4
