Robert H. Lascheid

Bonita Springs, Fla.

Robert (Bob) Lascheid of Bonita Springs, FL died peacefully on November 11, 2006 at Naples Community Hospital.

He was born August 22, 1931 in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended grade and high school in Mt. Lebanon, PA. He graduated from Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He was a life-long member of SAE fraternity. Bobs expertise was in Nuclear power, aiding in the development of the nuclear submarine in Pittsburgh, PA and Lynchburg, VA as well as Nuclear Power Plant technology in Hanford, WA.

He was married to Joan (Hammill) Lascheid who preceded him in death. He is survived by four children, Jeffrey R. (Tracy) Lascheid, Idaho Falls, ID; Gregory W. (Cheryl) Lascheid, Alden, IA; David J. (Tammy) Lascheid, Burbank, WA; Joan M. Anderson, Kalispell, MT; and eleven grandchildren. Bob is also survived by special friend Betty Klemming, brother and best friend William P. (Nancy) Lascheid, MD., Naples, FL; brother Vincent C. (Linda) Lascheid, Pittsburgh, PA; and sister Mitzi L. (Ralph) Heinauer, Bradenton, FL.

Bob was a very caring and giving person. He shared his many talents including expertise in operating and repairing computers as well as many other tasks at the Neighborhood Health Clinic and NCH Healthcare White Elephant store.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at the Neighborhood Health Clinic Education Center on Wednesday, November 15 at 3:30 PM. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Neighborhood Health Clinic, 120 Goodletter Rd W., Naples, FL 34102.

Our hearts are terribly heavy right now. We are just so sad at this time. Thanks for all those who attended the service and have thought about the Bob and the entire family. We will certainly miss him.
