Sarah McDaniel Obituary
Funeral services for Sarah Jane McDaniel will be held at 11 am, Saturday, July 6, 2013 in the Hopewell Baptist Church in Plainview. Brother Wayne Dunn will be officiating. Committal service will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery of Oakdale under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mrs. McDaniel, 86, of Pitkin, entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 4, 2013 in her residence. She was born on June 29, 1927 in Pitkin to Romelzy "Mann" and Blanche Willis. She was a homemaker. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Chester McDaniel, three brothers, two sisters, two children, and four grandchildren.
She leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory, five sons, Gilbert McDaniel (Sharon), Andrew McDaniel (Jeanette), William McDaniel (Janet), Loyd McDaniel (Debra) all of Plainview, and Daniel McDaniel (Sylvia) of Mittie; three daughters, Lucille Leiting (David) of Carroll, Iowa, Rosie Kingan (Danny) of Plainview, and Colleen Monk of Oakdale; one brother, Mason Willis of Plainview; two sisters, Sarah Ann McDaniel and Margaret Strother both of Plainview; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchild; and a host of family and friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Jeremy Leiting, Jody McDaniel, Dustin McDaniel, Kevin Kingan, Jason McDaniel, Travis Monk, Chester McDaniel, and Daniel Ray McDaniel.
Friends may call Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 6 pm until Friday, July 5, 2013 8 am in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel, then Friday, July 5, 2013 from 10 am until service time in the church.

Our lives will not be the same with out Aunt Sarah Jane, she was the most kind, sweetest, loving, caring, person I ever knew. She was always giving and sharing even if she had a little. Glad I had her to do some quilting for me. Will cherish them forever. With much love and respect for this lady.

Lucille,boys and family,Im sure she will be missed by all of you,but to the people that knew her it too will be a spot in our hearts and lives to have to say goodbye to such a wonderful,humble lady that we also loved.She spent time in C.W. and my home with our family and we will never forget the laughter and fellowship we had with this sweet lady.She no doubt is in a better place than we are today and her life showed that her death would be with her Lord.Farewell to you my friend.
