Kennewick, Washington - Friends and family remember Sol as viewing life as a benevolent gift ~ loyal and loving friend ~ high energy ~ supreme self-confidence ~ brilliant alternative thinker ~ avid reader ~ merchant builder/property developer of energy-efficient homes and apartments ~ kindest landlord ~ resourceful problem solver ~ creative seller of homes ~ loved by all who worked for him ~ risk taker ~ dog lover ~ dog agility instructor and competition award winner ~ helpful at networking and bringing missing relatives together on the Jewish Genealogy site, including fifteen trips to his father's ancestral village in Ukraine ~ national lecturer on "The Holocaust By Bullets" ~ fierce defender of justice and liberty ~ carried a small copy of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution in his chest pocket ~ indefatigable hiker ~ couldn't bear not to look over the next hill or mountain ~ handsome and strong ~ a complicated man who lived simply ~ survived by his beloved wife Katherine, children and grandchildren ~ died peacefully from complications of bone marrow cancer two months shy of his 90th birthday.
