Thomas Howard 'Tom' Wright Sr. was born October 6th, 1941, at Flint, Michigan, to parents, Horace Edward & Mary Jane (Howard) Wright. He died Monday, February 8th, 2010, at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, Washington, at the age of 68.

Tom grew up in Flint and graduated from high school in Owosso, Michigan. On May 4th, 1963, in Flint, Michigan, he married his childhood friend who shared the same birthday, Judith Katherine 'Judy' Black. In the fall of 1965 they moved to Hermiston where Tom worked at Marlette Homes. In 1972 he started a snowmobile sales company that later became Honda-Yamaha Cycletown and was active there until his death. He attended the Faith Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Hermiston Elks Lodge. Tom's passion was fast boats and fast cars. He won a IHBA World Championship in boat racing in 1997. He enjoyed working on cars & engines and was restoring a Camaro with his grandson, Nicholas. Tom also enjoyed snowmobiling and spending time at his cabin.

He is survived by his Wife, soulmate & business partner of 46 years, Judy Wright of Hermiston, OR; Mother, Mary Jane Wright of Marlette, MI; Son, Thomas H. Jr. and wife Ronda Wright of Hermiston, OR; Daughter, Jennifer and husband Terry Ness of Seaside, OR; 2 Sisters, Susan Rieth of Birmingham, MI, and Alicia and husband Bruce Potter of Marlette, MI; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Chyanne, Nevada Jane, and Thomas III; Cousin & lifelong friend, David Wright of Las Vegas, NV; 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his Father, Horace E. Wright.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 12th, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Presbyterian Church, 1005 S.E. 9th Street, Hermiston, OR 97838. Private Graveside Services with Military Honors to be held earlier at the Hermiston Cemetery.
