Margaret O'Hara Obituary

Margaret M. O'Hara, 93, of Pleasant Mount, died Wednesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital. Her husband William J. O'Hara died in 1986.

Born June 21, 1921 in Honesdale, she was the daughter of the late James and Margaret Fives McCormick. She was educated at the Red Schoolhouse Elementary School and her parents made sure that she graduate from Honesdale Catholic School. She was a member St. James Church and St. Katherine Drexel Parish, Pleasant Mount. Margaret was the matriarch of the family and she loved hosting family gatherings at her home.

Surviving are five sons, Patrick O'Hara; William O'Hara and wife Jane; Paul O'Hara and wife Diane, James O'Hara, and Vincent O'Hara and wife Jane, all of Pleasant Mount; a daughter Erin O'Hara, Pleasant Mount; a sister Rita Burkavage, Honesdale; a brother Michael V. McCormick, Fort Washington; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a son Joseph O'Hara, a grandson Clayton O'Hara and brothers Frances, Paul, James, and Benedict.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday at 10:30am in St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Viewing will be Sunday from 4 to 6pm in the Kevin M. Lesjack Funeral Home, 513 Main Street, Forest City, and Monday 9:30am until Mass time in St. James Church, Pleasant Mount. Interment in St. James Cemetery. Condolences: www.lesjackfuneralhome.com.
