Melissa Ann Feliciano

Melissa Ann Feliciano, 47 of Honesdale and formerly of Lansdale, PA, died on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Providencio George Feliciano Jr.. The couple married on September 23, 1994.

Born on September 21, 1966 in Philadelphia, PA, she is the daughter of Norman C. and Carol D. Balch of Honesdale and Barbara Spingler of Wallingford, PA. She was a graduate of Methacton High School in Eagleville, PA. Before becoming ill, Melissa was employed at Target in Cheltenham, PA where she worked in human resources for 9 years.

Melissa was talented at crafts and enjoyed making blankets and cards.

She also enjoyed reading and everyone knew not to bother her when she was wrapped up in a book.

Also surviving are her sons Steven Christopher Feliciano and Providencio George Velez Serrano III both of Lansdale, PA; brothers Thomas Balch of Spring City, PA and Joshua A. Balch of Goose Creek, SC; sisters Michele Balch of Hatfield, PA, Bonnie L. Triebig of Schwenksville, PA, Dawn M. Filmyer of Harleysville, PA, Kimberly R. Jones of Danville, PA and Stefanie R. Schreck of Lansdale, PA; mother-in-law Iris M. Velez Serrano of Plymouth Meeting, PA; father-in-law Providencio Feliciano Sr. of Norristown, PA; grandmother Lelia C. Driscoll of Bishopville, MD; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, bothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Malachi Nathaniel Feliciano.

Cremation services are being arranged by Hessling Funeral Home, Inc., 428 Main St. Honesdale.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd at 1 p.m. at Cold Springs Chapel 1421 Upper Woods Rd. Honesdale, PA 18431.
