BRUCE SCHWEITZER Bruce Lee Schweitzer, 73, of Sterling, Colorado passed away on November 26, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1952, in Hillsboro, Kansas, to Leo Charles and Mary Jane (Tolliver) Schweitzer. Bruce graduated from Pratt High School in Pratt, Kansas, and enjoyed a long career with the Rock Island Railroad and later BNSF Railroad, retiring in 2001. He had a passion for golf, bowling, hunting, fishing, and playing the guitar. He was also a proud member of the Elks Lodge. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Bruce valued time spent with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Patricia; daughters Danyel Cullip (Jeff Robirds) and Ricci (Andrew) Dreier; son Travis Schweitzer; grandchildren Abigail, Rylee, Addison, Lucca, and Kimber; brother Mark Schweitzer; sister Darlene (Duane) Lenz; sisters-in-law Beverly (Hans) Thom, Debbie (Leo) Brekel, and Robin Yapp; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Mary Jane Schweitzer, and brother-in-law Kenny Yapp. The family will receive visitors at a memorial gathering on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Reception Room of Tennant Funeral Home, 330 South 2nd Street, Sterling, Colorado. Please use the south entrance on Cedar Street. He will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends. Memorials may be made in Bruce's name to the charity of donor's choice.
