Edward R. Springer Jr.Troy – Edward R. Springer Jr. passed away on December 1, 2018 surrounded by his family. Ed was the beloved husband of Patricia O’Neil Springer and was the son of the late Edward and Mae Gregory Springer.Prior to his retirement Ed was employed at Morgan Linen Services and The Times Union Newspaper. Survivors in addition to his wife include his children Robert (Christine) Springer, Kenneth (Heather) Springer, Kathy (John Cutting) Springer, Kimberly (Nick) Schultheis, Tara (Bill) Clairmont and daughter in law Pam Springer; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and his sister Barbara (Tom) Powel as well as several nieces and nephews.Ed was predeceased by his son Edward R. Springer III in addition to his parents. The family would like to thank the staff at the Eddy Village Green, house 14, Hospice and Deacon Bob for their support.A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 7th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church 175 Williams Road, Troy. Family and friends are invited to visit with Ed’s family on Thursday, 4-7 p.m. AT THE CHURCH.
