Mr. Carley was a great guy!
He always had a smile and a good word to say-

Coach Carley "Jake" was simply a great guy and I enjoyed my time several years ago coaching my sons and other youth players in the TROY CDYLL youth league. He had respect and standards that are important in all phases of life. I had not seen him in awhile since my kids have all graduated Troy High and moved on..Jake, thanks for everything, and keep teaching those kids to put your stick in "right hand high"...RIP my friend.

I never had Mr. Carley as a teacher but spent many hours talking with him in the Global Resource room. He would talk about anything and everything and made you feel like you mattered. More teachers like him are needed in today's world. Rest in Peace Mr. Carley

To the Carley family! Just heard about Jake's passing. Very sad news. At the Notty Pine gatherings, I would kid both Jake AND Duke about them buying The Pine back since they were BOTH retired now. Jake would respond Wide-Eyed by saying WHAT, we-are-RETIRED! Who wants to deal with paperwork, employees, regulations and on and on. "I am retired and want to rest". Jake, may you NOW rest-in-peace!!!
