Joseph Frost Obituary
When Joseph's soul went to heaven, he was with his mom, dad and brother at home, all cozy in his bed with his stuffed animals and cuddle blankets.
Joseph was born at Albany Medical Center Hospital on Nov. 27, 2002 - the day before Thanksgiving. We called him our early turkey! He attended Circle of Friends preschool in Delmar and Poestenkill Elementary School in Poestenkill. Joseph attended St. Jude the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Wynantskill, where he also served as an altar server.
While in heaven, Joseph will be watching over his mom and dad, Karen and Art, his brother Matthew, his grandparents Edward Doin, Jerome Frost and Carol Frost, his favorite cousin Phillip, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His loving Nanny, Esther T. Doin, was waiting for Joseph when he got to heaven, just like Joseph said she promised him.
Joseph played baseball at Twin Town Little League and soccer at Averill Park Youth Soccer League. Joseph's favorite place in the world was Lake Placid, and he loved our family vacation there every summer. He also loved his Make-A-Wish trip to Give Kids the World Village in Florida.
He also enjoyed playing with his brother Matthew and his favorite cousin Phillip (C12 and 39Z = JP #1!), swimming in the pool, making sets with his big box of cars, playing Wii, playing Rock Band with his dad and brother, riding his bike, drawing roads on the driveway with sidewalk chalk, playing the piano and taking piano lessons with Mr. Ascioti, writing his own music and lyrics in his music binder, playing his acoustic guitar, eating Mexican food from Hot Harry's, eating pizza, watching Red Sox games, watching "Cars" and "Ratatouille" with his popcorn and chocolate chips, playing elevator, making his own math homework for us, being "the King" of the king sized bed, reading (Dr. Seuss books, Captain Underpants, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid), writing and illustrating his own stories, counting his "schwartzies", swinging on his swing, walking endlessly and taking wagon rides.
He also loved spending time with his "mornels" (you know who you are!). Joseph was especially proud of winning the math bee at school in second grade because, as he said, he "loved really high numbers".
We're especially proud of Joseph for being the bravest 11 year old boy ever. Joseph had a special connection with Jesus, sharing endless heavenly, joyous thoughts about Jesus with us and writing music for Jesus. We will never forget you Joseph, and neither will those whose lives you touched forever. Be happy in heaven, Joseph, and "relax, close your eyes, and stay still."
His parents are requesting that the wake and funeral services be adult only please. Funeral services for Joseph will be held at 9 a.m. on March 12 at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, 8-109th St., Troy, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle, Wynantskill, with Rev. Anthony Ligato officiating.
Entombment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on March 11 at the funeral home. In honor of Joseph, please wear his favorite color purple. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Joseph's name to Give Kids the World Village (210 S. Bass Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746), Make-A-Wish Northeast New York (One Mustang Drive, Cohoes, NY 12047), and the Rensselaer County Community Hospice (295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144).

Your angelversary this year on March 7 will be 10 years that you have been with Jesus instead of us. That´s a decade and a long time as you used to say. Last night I went with some of my really good friends to the stations of the cross, Mary´s way of the cross, which really hits my heart in a profound way because I feel the same feelings that she did as a mother. I love you I miss you and as in the picture you drew titled me and mommy from 3/7/2012 that you told me to keep forever and ever, which I have and cherish as well as every memory, every giggle, every kiss, every hug, every snuggle, every handheld stroll, every smile, and every I love you for every day of your life. And every day, even before you were even born. I hold on to knowing we will be together forever at the end of my life someday. Watch over me, dad, Matthew, and Taye. Three kisses and three hugs and I love you forever.

Joseph, I miss you every minute every day. April 7th at 8:23 pm will be your one month anniversary in Heaven. One week after that we will be going back to 422 Seneca Suite in Lake Placid to remember our great times there. Today is Saint Joseph's Day. Among other things St. Joseph is the Patron Saint for persons named Joseph, the church, and a happy death. “Saint Joseph is a man of great spirit... is great in faith, not because he speaks his own words, but above all because he listens to the words of the Living God...And his heart ceaselessly perseveres in the readiness to accept the Truth contained in the word of the Living God,” Pope John Paul II had once said.
We love you Joseph and will "never forget Joseph Frost", not ever. I miss you as much as I love you and always will. We will all be together someday again in Heaven. Tell Nanny we love her too. Joseph had that contagious sparkle in his eyes that was full of life...and that was his gift to everyone, including me. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
