Mr. Lutz came to watch me play baseball about 6 years ago. Ever since then I called him every month or so to update him on how things. He taught me that there is more to life than baseball and gave me a new perspective on life. He was an amazing human and inspired many. Rest in peace.

Joe Lutz was one very special person in my life and my fellow teammates past and present. In 1966 our team from National little league corner Woodlawn and Partridge, won the NYS CHAMPIONSHIP !!Joe will always be remembered for his positive mentorship in helping us 12yr olds attain our goals and make us feel like we were major leaguers!! Joe will be missed. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends! So very appreciative that he touched my life.

Is this the Joe Lutz that went to Troy High School and graduated in 1958?

I knew a Joe Lutz who coached a team in the National Little League around 1964. While I played for Sully´s M&Rs, Mr . Lutz coached the Star Supers, but was a real positive influence for many young men who had the privilege to interact with him at the baseball field. I´m not a 100% sure this is the same Joe Lutz, but it certainly sounds like this man had the same qualities of the coach I crossed paths with over 50 years ago.

Dear Barbara and Thomas,
Very few people can say that they made a significant difference in thousands of lives. Joseph was that special kind of person. He devoted his life to making sure that students knew that attendance at school was a must. Whether he was teaching the fundamentals of the game he so loved or extending a helpful hand to those in need, Joseph was always willing to help. He will be surely missed and long remembered by countless former students, faculty and friends.
