Kevin F. Carberry GREAT BARRINGTON, MA - Kevin F. Carberry, 66, of Great Barrington, MA formerly of Wynantskill, NY died suddenly on October 16, 2013. Born on December 5, 1946, son of the late Howard and Cecile (Perreault) Carberry, he lived in Wynantskill, NY until moving to Great Barrington in 1975. He attended Christian Brothers Academy and graduated from Catholic Central High School. He graduated from Canisius College and studied Law at Boston University. Kevin worked generally in construction, building additions as well as building a house. He eventually worked in Connecticut converting rustic barns into homes. Kevin loved to dance, and loved music all his life. He played both guitar and banjo while in school. He later lived in Munich, Germany for 3 years, playing drums in a rock band. He continued to play guitar though, and eventually taught guitar lessons in Gt. Barrington. Kevin was a kind soul. He loved cats, and he took great care of many stray cats over the years. He was predeceased by his two infant twins, Matthew Paul and John Michael. He is survived by his brother, Jay Carberry and his wife Dawn. He is also survived by his five sisters: Karen McNamara and her husband Al, Meg Beeson and her husband Doug, Janet Carberry, Anne Hudzik and her husband Jim and Lynn Masterman and her husband Barry. Kevin was the proud uncle of 3 nephews and 9 nieces, as well as 4 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces. Calling hours for Kevin Francis Carberry were Friday, October 18, 2013 at Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA from 6 PM until 8 PM. A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Kevin F. Carberry will be celebrated on Saturday, October 19th at 9:00 AM at St Ann's Church 134 Main Street in Lenox. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Purradise Cat Adoption Center” in care of Roche Funeral Home.
