Margaret Celiette Ferraro SIMPSONVILLE, SC - Margaret Celiette Ferraro, age 64, of Simpsonville, SC passed away on June 7, 2017 at home after a courageous 11 year battle with cancer. Maggie was born in Troy on September 20, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Pawlisiak Wojcik. Maggie was a class of 1973 graduate of The Albany Medical School of Nursing. On September 15, 1973, she married Frank Ferraro of Schenectady. They filled a home in Mukwonago, WI with four young children. The family eventually moved to Greer, SC, where Maggie worked at Bon Secours Health System for 23 years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, knitting, doting on her grandson, cats and birds, and spending time with Bryan and loved ones. She is survived by Frank Ferraro of Greer, four children, Jennifer Ferraro of Gainesville, GA, Melissa (Adam) Wolf of Guilderland, Bryan Ferraro of Simpsonville, and Jonathan (Olga) Ferraro of Leimen, Germany, three grandchildren, Zander and Liam Wolf, and Colin Ferraro and sister Virginia Zajesky of Troy. She was preceded in death by her brother Stanley Wojcik. The funeral service for Maggie will be held on Friday morning at 10:15 AM at The Wm. Leahy Funeral Home 336 Third St. Troy, prior to a mass of Christian burial at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church Spring Ave., Troy . Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. Interment St. Joseph’s Cemetery Troy.
