Orville Bennett Obituary

BENNETT, ORVILLE ALBANY - Orville H. Bennett, 86, formerly of Troy, NY and Avon Park, FL, entered into eternal rest on Saturday December 4, 2010 to join our Lord within the loving arms of his family. He was the son Harry and May (Barnhart) Bennett. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita (Sano), daughters Lora Webster (Tom) and Sharon McCormick (Mike), step-son Francis Vacarelli, grandchildren Ben, Nicole, Mia, Nicholas, Zachary and Michele, great-grandchildren Robert and Anthony and sister Eunice Ryan. He was predeceased by sister Olive Nadeau and brothers Alden and Orvin. Orville was a disabled Veteran of WW II. He was an Elks Club member and acting treasurer in the D.A.V. for many years. Orville was a V.P. of the banking industry. He will be remembered for his "goofy humor", his love of his family, his dog "Waterboy" and adventures on the Battenkill. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, Pine West Plaza Bldg. #4, suite 405, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12205.
