Richard Stufflebeam Obituary

Richard Edwin Stufflebeam Troy - Richard Edwin Stufflebeam, 71, of Miller Avenue died Monday, May 26, 2014, at Albany Medical Center Hospital after a long illness. Born in Troy, he was son of the late Harry Oliver Stufflebeam and Catherine Elizabeth Coates Stufflebeam and husband of Carolyn Nirsberger Stufflebeam. He had resided in Troy all his life and was a graduate of Troy High School class of 1961 and Hudson Valley Community College class of 1963. Mr. Stufflebeam was employed in banking for 35 years retiring from Citizens Bank as a Loan Manager in 1995. Richard was a co-founder and past Treasurer of the South Troy Pop Warner Football League, President of the South Troy Little League, and Treasurer of the Germania Hall Frosh Club. Survivors in addition to his wife include four sons, Richard Andrew (Lucille) Stufflebeam, Michael David (Kelley) Stufflebeam, Steven Bryan (Karen) Stufflebeam and Jeffrey Mark (Diana) Stufflebeam, all of Troy; a daughter, Amy Michelle (Derrick) Rumenapp, Troy; a sister, Mildred Stufflebeam Shea; a brother, David Stufflebeam; his grandchildren, Michael Andrew (Sarah), Jennifer Marie, Dylan Ronald, Tara Kelly, Katie, Mia, Felicia, Sophia Stufflebeam, Megan and Matthew Richard Rumenapp and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Thomas. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home, Inc. 276 Pawling Avenue Troy on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be held Friday, at 9 AM at the funeral home and at 9:30 AM at St. Jude the Apostle Church Wynantskill where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Anthony Ligato, Pastor. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Troy. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Richard Edwin Stufflebeam to the Eddy Visiting Nurse Association 433 River Street Suite 3000 Troy, NY 12180 or Rubin Dialysis Center 1850 Peoples Avenue Troy, NY 12180 .
