Wishing you a Happy Birthday
I missed you quietly today. So quietly that no one noticed.
I missed you as I climbed out of bed and as I brushed my teeth; when I waited at the lights on the drive into work and as I heard the rain outside my window.
I missed you as I ordered lunch and as I kicked off my shoes when I got home; as I switched off the lights and climbed into bed for the night.
I missed you without tears or noise or fanfare.
But oh how I felt it.
I felt it in the morning, at lunchtime, in the evening and at night. I felt it as I woke, as I waited, as I worked. I felt it at home, on the road, in the light, in the dark, in the rain.
I felt it in every one of those moments, each one sitting heavier and heavier as the weight of me missing you kept growing and growing.
Yes, I missed you so quietly today.
But I felt it so loudly.

Today is different. No matter how much the mind tries to surcomvent the pain of longing to be in your presence, the heart cannot deny the physical & emotional ache of simply needing to be. I tried. I am trying today. I will keep trying. Many continue to give you tribute as we all experience unexpectedly running into a person who knew you. Mostly from your personal calling in the medical world. Now that Brittany is an OT at a hospital it seems like Dr's, Nurses, patients come out of the history of your life and wrap your arms around Brittany during her calling to serve in the medical field in a similar fashion as you;with integrity, commitment, passion, laughter, compassion, advocacy, continued education, friendship, family, love, hard work, iron will. Those hugs are passed from your love shared in those people, they pass on to Britt, she passes stories to us. The circle of life. You ARE with us. We honor and continue to share our hearts with you and Dad, together in our special memorial which Mom created. Your family who loves you with all they have. We have not moved on from you. We have moved with you Theres, and taken you with us. Your truth speaks louder every year. It will continue to do so. I validate your life with truth. And remembering God loves you more than me. Keep sending us all the Angels needed to get the job done!

Its hard to believe that another year has passed. I miss our conversations, our laughs, and our friendship. You enter my thoughts almost daily and even my conversations with many doctors who still speak so highly of you. Keep watch over us and always know how much you are loved.

My sis Theresa would have turned 50 this week here on our planet. Instead she is somewhere else experiencing that which no one has returned from, what i believe is beyond our limited comprehension of sheer love-joy-freedom.
I can only hope and hold fast to that faith in God which my heart today and most days cannot grasp along side the emptiness and void left once they are gone from our touch. Believing is not minus pain. 8/1/16 Di. Your family carries your truths of integrity onward.

If possible I LOVE you more everyday,this has been such a tough year without you, but knowing what an impact you have made on so many lives helps to ease my heart ache. They say time heals all wounds, but I know this type of pain can never truly go away and that's a good thing, because if you weren't so special it would be easy to move on. Thank for the memories!

I was in the same home room with Theresa all through high school and she was always one of my very favorite classmates at Catholic Central. I haven't lived in the area since graduating, but another of our classmates told me about her passing. Even after all these years, I still remember her as being one of the sweetest, happiest, friendliest people in our class. She was never a member of any "clicks", but just a genuine good person.
