Veronica Elizabeth Goodwin

Veronica E. Goodwin TROY - Veronica Elizabeth Campbell Goodwin, 70 of Highland Avenue, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Edward Campbell and Mary Donnelly Campbell and wife of the late William Goodwin who died in 1991. Raised and educated in Troy, she was a graduate of Sacred Heart School and attended Catholic Central High School. Veronica was a clerk with the New York State Department of Higher Education, retiring in 2009. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She leaves behind a rich legacy of life of goodness, she treasured her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. Veroncia enjoy playing bingo and going to the Racino. Survivors include three children Lisa Blais (Robert), Gary Lennox (Lisa), Dennis Peterson (Lorette Sunukjian) all of Troy, four grandchildren Tarah Lenyk, Kate Mace (Brandon), Meghan Blais, Gary Lennox (Kate Mehner), four great grandchildren Hannah and Jack Mace, Madison and Logan Lenyk, two brothers Edward Campbell, William Campbell (Kay) one sister Rose Campbell, great aunt Margaret Donnelly of Green Island, sister in law Joan Campbell, brother in law Sid Bailey (Diane) and several nieces and nephews. Veroncia was predeceased by three sisters Bernice Campbell, Joan Bailey, Margaret Diamond and a brother John Campbell. A special thank you to Jean Endryk, NP of Seton Health Palliative Care. Funeral services will be 10:15 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 from the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh and 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church Troy where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
