William DeWolfe Obituary

WILMINGTON, MA-William J. DeWolfe III, 75, of Wilmington, MA, passed away at Winchester Hospital on Monday, November 28, 2022, surrounded by loved ones after a hard fought health battle.Bill was born on January 2, 1947 in Hudson, NY to the late William J. DeWolfe, Jr & beloved Clara Biette DeWolfe. After attending Tamarac and Keveny Memorial Academy, Bill proudly served in the Navy. After serving, Bill returned to NY where his dear sister Patty would set him up on a blind date, introducing him to the love of his life, Patricia Davis. Bill & Pat married in 1969 and went on to own two local businesses in Troy, NY, raise three children, and spoil four grandsons. Bill worked at Blasch Precision Ceramics before retiring and relocating to MA with Pat to focus on the job he loved most, being a full-time grandfather.Throughout Bill's life, he gave generously to those around him. Whether it was giving someone a hard time, a laugh, or money from his own pocket, Bill always had good intentions at heart and put other people before himself. In his early youth as a newsboy, Bill used his earnings to buy papers for elderly residents who couldn't afford it. As a young adult, Bill lovingly devoted time to his niece, Cathy Lange, & nephews, Andy, Kevin & Tom Buchan, like they were his own children. Day in and out while managing his stores, he continually gave to his employees and the community, often without them knowing. Bill gave years to the baseball diamond - as a player in his youth and into adulthood, coaching his sons' baseball teams, and rooting for the Yankees. Bill gave most to Pat, with his endless love throughout 54 years of marriage; to his children, with his unconditional support; and to his grandsons, with his nonstop doughnuts and hugs.Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Patricia C. Buchan, and dear friend, Howard Kepner. Bill is survived by his brother, Robert DeWolfe and his wife Bette Anne; his sister, Linda Pollock; his sons, William and Timothy DeWolfe; his daughter, Tricia Clark and her husband Adam; his grandsons, Noah and Greyson DeWolfe, and Jackson and Maddox Clark. Bill is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and their children.A private service will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at AdviniaCare in Wilmington, MA. https://www.lastingmemories.com/william-j-dewolfe-iii
