Adeline Christine Morris "Addie" GONZALES

GONZALES, Adeline "Addie" Christine Morris was born August 29, 1920 in Douglas, AZ. She passed away on February 3, 2018 in Tucson surrounded by her children. Addie lived in southern Arizona until she was 20 when she married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Gilbert Ferrer Gonzales (1920-1994). That's when the adventure began. Gilbert joined the U.S. Air Force and was a P-38 fighter pilot during WWII. Adeline cultivated a loving home around the globe during Gilbert's Air Force career. They retired in Montgomery, Alabama, where life was so much fun, filled with dear friends, great parties, lots of golf, and wonderful music and dancing. Addie stayed in Montgomery for ten years after Gilbert passed and moved back home to Tucson in 2006 where she reconnected with family and childhood friends. She will be missed by her brother, Robert Morris (Angie); her five children, Gilbert, Dennis (Joanne), Carolyn, Ann (John Turnbull), and Tesa (Dean Blasco); her 15 grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; wonderful friends; and her cousins, niece, and nephews. Addie will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family and faith, her zest for life, winning bridge skills, extreme wisdom, positive spirit, and unwavering strength and bravery. A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, 215 S. Craycroft Rd, Tucson, AZ 85711.
