God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you, and whispered “Come to Me”. With tearful eyes we watched you, we watched you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands now rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. "We will miss you Grandpa!"

Tio Cach,

It truly hurts me to be so separated from my family in times like these. I wasn't able to be there to see-off my Godfather.

Though my children didn't get the opportunity to meet you, they'll hear stories of you and feel the love that's contained in them.

I wish I could've been there for Barb, Steve, Sandy, and the rest of my family... and so now Germany feels like it's a universe away. At least Gabriel got to see you before you left, Nino. I hope you're able to keep an eye on him... I couldn't imagine a better guardian angel.

I'll miss you.

Armando was a man and a father that I respected very much. I relished our conversations about golf and riding motorcycles. I just wish I had the privilege of meeting him when he was riding his bike and playing golf. I wanted to impress and ensure him that I love his daughter, Barb. I will miss those conversations my friend, and I will honor your request... Love Tom

To you I salute for when I was just a little kid you gave me my first pair of bright red plaid pants that you proudly convinced me all the famous pro golfers wore while playing as you taught me the fundamentals of golf.
Who was I to argue..........

To you I salute as you so wisely gave me money to get lost as you so eagerly entertained the company of my big sister whom you ended up marring . How could i have been so naive........
And finally to you I salute for fathering three of the most beautiful and unique children whom stood at your bedside endlessly till your last sigh. Luckier you could not be.........

We all know your in a much better place now so save me a box seat old man for when Its my time to arrive I will be looking for you. Not only will I greet you with a firm hand shake but I will finally be able to ask you a question that has been like a torn in my side all my past living years. About those bright red plaid pants, "What were you thinking man" ??...

Cachi, my heart goes out to you as I am so proud to have known you and been part of your life.

Caro Family,

I write this with a heavy heart. My sympathy goes out to Ruth, Barb, Sandy and Steve. When I was small, I would always refer to your dad as my uncle. I remember when we would visited El Paso and on another occassion when your dad came out to L.A., your dad would snap the football from one side of the street to the other. The neighborhood kids would gather around and be in awe.. Later, as we got older, your dad continued to treat us special as we exchanged life's experiences. I know that your dad is in good company and others in heaven cannot believe their good luck. We love you guys and I hope that we can come together soon. Your dad loved life, his family and especially his kids. And I, like the neighborhood kids will always be in awe of your father.
We love you Armando!!

Dad, I missed you the day you went into the hospital. My only consolation is that you are on a long, much needed vacation ... riding your motorcycle and enjoying the beautiful scenery. Until the day we are together again, you will always be my daddy. I Love you!

Cachi!
It can't be!! I'll never forget your friendship when we played football at Austin High School. You were a big bear with a gentle heart!!!
I'll never forget the kickoff you launched that went for minus 1 yard. You had us laughing for months. When you did connect, which was 99.9% of the time, the old football went forever. God bless you! Henry Saenz...now living in Michigan

Some of us come and go quietly, leaving no trace of our existence. Others, like Armando, leave us with a smile in our hearts as we think of the love and influence he brought us, and the family he left us. HIs legacy! Memories of him are now part of us, and we will honor them by passing them on.

Cachi, Time will come and go but the friendship love for you will always be in my heart. Last night at church a number of people were becoming Catholics, but what came to my mind was there would be one less Catholic on this earth, as he is now in heaven. Then tears started to flow as I was thinking of you. But I know your faith and your corazon that you have has made an ever lasting impression on many individuals, especially your family and your amigos like me. Thank you for always being there and being like a brother especially in my younger days.

My deepest sympathy to Ruth and the Caro faimly. Cachi was a good friend of my husband whom we also lost on Feb. 14 (Rick Cardenas) They were friends all through high school and both worked for the railroad. I'm sure they're both reuniting up in heaven. We know how difficult it is to loose a husband and a father. Our prayers are with you and may your memories of him fill your hearts with love and strength.
