Bernice Muller Obituary

Bernice Ruth Muller was taken in death Monday, October 10, 2005. Born June 10, 1925 in Royal Oak, Michigan. Survived by her husband, Charles; eight children, Theresa (Rick) Riess, William (Larel), Paula (Paul) McIlrath, Jerome (Cecille), all of Tucson, Mary (Bill) Brown, of Pittsburgh, PA, Louise (Vincent) Guida, of Alexandria, VA, Elaine (Jalil) Shojaie of Rochester, NY and Andrew of Sun City, CA; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Went through the WWII Cadet Nurses training program and received her RN in 1946 from Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI. She worked as a nurse in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Butte, Montana; and the VA Hospital in Allen Park, MI. She was married October 4, 1952 after to Charles W. Muller of Detroit. They settled in Tucson in 1954 after Charles' Army service. She worked as a volunteer for Casa De Los Ninos, the Sanctuary Movement, Pastors for Peace and Borderlinks. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Borderlinks. Visitation: Sacred Heart Church, 601 East Fort Lowell, Friday, October 14, 2005 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by funeral Mass at 7:00 p.m. also at Sacred Heart Church. Arrangement by ABBEY FUNERAL CHAPEL, 3435 N. 1st Ave., Tucson, AZ. 85719 (888-111).

Hi Mullers-

I dont know where to start. You were all so good to us when we were kids and it was wonderful to be neighbors for so many years. Your mom was always so wonderful to me and Tommy! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and I wish that I could have been there in person to give my condolences to you all. Much Love -Karen
