Bertha Navarro Ruiz

1927 - 2015

Bertha Navarro Ruiz Born May 20, 1927 in Bisbee, AZ and died peacefully in Tucson, AZ, September 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Arthur D. Ruiz. She is survived by her two sons, Arthur R. Ruiz (Cheryl) and Ralph A. Ruiz (Anna); granddaughters, Casimira and Marina Ruiz and brothers, Raul, George and Anthony Navarro as well as numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren. She lived in California with her family from 1950 to 1987, where she earned a Master's Degree in Linguistics and worked as a State Medical Board Consultant before retiring in Tucson in 1987. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Resurrection Cemetery in Rosemead, CA. She will be missed! Her family wishes to thank the staff at Pacifica Senior Living and Casa de la Luz for her care during the last nine months of her life. Arrangements by DESERT SUNSET FUNERAL HOME.
