WHITAKER, Brackston T. Brack was born 1921 in Washington state and passed away October 26, 2017 in Tucson. Brack graduated from the UofA on a track scholarship, earning a degree in mechanical engineering. While in college he was on the track relay team which held a school record for some time. He was also a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Brack started his career building houses and apartments, which lead him into building a very successful pool building company, Whitaker Pools. Brack also built bomb shelters in Tucson for several homes and businesses. Brack was past president of the Tucson Country Club and member of the Desert Club. He is survived by his son, Brack (Carolyn); daughter, Dale Ruedebusch (Terry); four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE HEATHER MORTUARY. There will be no service.

To the Family of Mr. Whitaker, from Helen O'Hara- Arnold, caregiver and manager at one time. I am truly saddened at his passing. He was a dignified and proud man. Knowing his family as a child and then as a grown women, I give him the greatest respect. Your family was a true inspiration in caring for their loved one in his senior years. Brack was a unique and creative man. He had a visionary mind that was able to anticipate the future need of common products which enabled him to enhance common products. He created many useful and productive items for use in swimming pools. I worked for the man for over 25 years and would've loved to continue working for him the rest of my life. He and Mike Ginter were genius. I loved them both. My heart goes out to Dale and Brack..... Sharen Sibley
