Hard to believe it has now been 6 years ago that we lost you. I still have some of your things around my house (one being the Michigan clock!) that make me think about you often. Our office is still empty. Much love to Marcia, Carl IV and Heather and the families. And I still miss our talks!

Besides family, what rocked Carl´s world more than Michigan football? He loved being mistaken for Bo Schembeckler at the Ghandi Dancer and listening to recordings of announcer Bob Ucher working UM victories.
That´s why this Ohio State game brought him back so strongly to me and I know to his family-
Can´t believe it´s been 5 years.

I don't believe Carl's gone--he was a force who brought warm smiles to all who knew him. Always positive, open,, kind and forgiving. Funny as hell with endless hilarious stories and adventures. Met as fraternity brothers at University of Michigan and remained bonded til this sad end. But still in our hearts. Marcia, what a ride, right? And kids--I know you're proud of all he did in his life and the wonderful way he had with everyone he touched.

Carl,
You and your family will be missed by so many. We met in second grade at Defer. Soon I found myself spending
more time at your house. Your parents understood the situation at my home. Divorce was quite unusual in the early in the 1950s. Then began the fun! Football in the back yard. Basketball, tennis Jumping your bike over a ramp we made. Your broke your arm and off to see Dr Jodar AGAIN! Best of all was hockey on the drive was with the goal right in front of the garages doors. Oh the dents. Your Father would do his best to bang them out every Spring. We were most impressed when we went to Michigan hockey games...Go Blue! I am sorry I never saw you play. I guess I was in the Army then. Topinabee was special. Water skiing and sailing in the 110 "Merrimac". We watched your Father build "Blackhawk" in the garage.
Fiberglas was just the latest thing and he would fiberglas the blades of our hockey sticks. That saved a ton of money. Take care my friend. I will take a slapshot and think about you.
God Bless You,
Chuck Dyer

Carl, you will be missed around the office. No one could make us smile and shake our heads as much as you did when we would transfer calls to your office. My prayers are with your family now in their time of loss. May the God of Peace comfort you all in this time.

Although I have only known Carl for 2 years, he was the best boss I ever had and a fine man. I will miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers for the family

Marcia - we're so sorry for your loss. We're neighbors in Finisterra that got to know Carl from our walking. He was a wonderful man that kept his optimism and great attitude through all his physical obstacles. We will miss him.
