Charles Henry Obituary

Henry, Charles Robert Bob, as he was known to all, was born on January 11, 1945 in Fort Scott, Kansas, arriving in Arizona in 1947. Died January 3, 2018 in Tucson. Survived by wife, Bonnie; daughter, Laura Jones; son, Robert Henry (Kristen); mother, Velva Henry; sister, Debbie Henry; brother, Donald Henry; and nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by father, Charles Henry; brothers, Jimmy Lee and Richard Henry (Ilyce). Bob worked in purchasing for 28 years with ASARCO and then for 13 years with Patio Pools. Retiring in 2007, he volunteered for nine years with the United Way's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. At his summer home in the White Mountains, he was actively involved with the White Mountain Fly Fishing Club, assisting everyone from breast cancer survivors to wounded warriors. Bob loved his family and friends, golf, fishing, and fine Mexican food. His last meal - and one he thoroughly enjoyed - was a green corn tamale. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at VISTOSO FUNERAL HOME, 2285 E. Rancho Vistoso Blvd. Remembrances may be made to Interfaith Community Services in Tucson or the White Mountain Fly Fishing Club in Pinetop.
