Charles Urschel Obituary

Charles Monroe Urschel November 13, 1934-August 29, 2007 Born in Hunnington, IN he resided in Tucson, AZ since he was a young boy. Ready to serve his country he joined the Navy at the age of seventeen. He was very proud to serve and protect his country during the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment operator who took great pleasure building the highways and biways of Arizona, and an accomplished wood craftsman he could make or build anything. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, is survived by his daughter Sheryl Johnson of Rio-Rico, AZ; three grandchildren, Mathew Baker of Las Vegas, NV, Tayana Forkum of Tucson, AZ, Leandra Barrett of Hollowman AFB, NM; great-grandchildren, Julia, Trevor, and Matthew; his brother, Glenn Urschel of Tucson and sisters, Norma Rippingler of Tucson, AZ and sister, Elise Tachett of Indiana and many nieces and nephews like Susan Barboa of Golden Valley, AZ. He was a loving man. His presence will be greatly missed. We take great comfort in knowing he is with our Lord and rejoice for the peace he has come to. Memorial service to be held at the National Cemetery Ft. Huachuca, AZ on September 24, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Reception luncheon will be held at the Golden Corral in Sierra Vista, AZ.
