Dan Gard,

My man Dan, here's to great food, your great cooking, great times salmon fishing, great times bar hopping, great holidays together, the opportunity to be in your wedding, being very fortunate to have known you and for being an awesome brother. I cherish those times with you, I look forward to seeing you again.

Here's to Dan Gard, one of the few people I know so full of life, never taking it for granted. Rest now my friend, be at peace.

Dear Laura and Mom Donna,
I think of you and the boys often and wish you well. I am so sorry to hear about Danny's passing. I still think of him as a young boy so full of energy and so kind. My thoughts are with you. Love, Cathy Quiroz

Dad,

I want you to know that I miss you more that I ever thought I could. I miss hearing you call me "princess" more than anything. I wish we could go back to when it was just me, you, Jon, and mom. I know those were the best times. You always managed to put a smile on my face.
No one will ever know how great of dad you were. Jon and I will always remember. I love you so much dad.

Your Daughter,
Donna Gard

Dan,

A day doesn't go by without me thinking of you. If it weren't for you, the last two months of my life would have been horrific. I remember you lighting the fireplace for me nightly while I was stuck on the couch with a broken leg. You took care of my animals, and just made sure all was right in my world. You were one of the most kind giving people that I have ever known, with a sure fire wit about you that is unforgettable. I will fondly remember the smile in your eyes when you had a smile on your face. Thank you for being in my life for the last couple of years. I love and miss you terribly.

I remember when Dan would get ticket's to the A's games even though that was not his team, but he got them so I could see my team play. Dan was a very given person and a very good buddy. I will miss him. Our prayers go out to the whole Gard family.

I remember how Dan loved to go deep sea fishing--every time he came back home he would be red as a beet grinning from cheek to cheek (even if he didn't catch anything) he just loved being out there. Dan loved white water rafting, kayaking, hiking & watching westerns & sports... esp baseball. Dan loved the SF Giants & the SF 49ers, he remembers their stats more than he remembered our anniversary. Dan especially loved his children, Donna & Jon. He couldn't wait to get off work so he could spend time with them. Dan took them to the mountains to hike & to Sabino Canyon where he showed them how to catch crayfish (yuck!). Dan also loved to cook, he was a really good cook, I remember when he made chicken enchiladas, he would always make an extra tray to take to mom. So many good memories Dan. We love you and miss you very much.

Dan - you don't know what you meant to me. Thank you for taking me to all those SF Giants games with you and showing me how to make tacos with the flavor packets. I'll never forget those times. The world seems a lot smaller without you. Always, Eki
