David Buchsbaum Obituary

David J. Buchsbaum April 4, 1919 - December 31, 2007 David leaves behind and was the beloved brother of Harvey William Buchsbaum and Rosalind Denes. He was the son of Mollie and Max Buchsbaum. He also leaves behind six nieces and nephews who loved him and who at times participated in his care and who related to him as a friend. They are Michael, Richard and Jay Denes, Steven and Karen Buchsbaum and Cynthia Leavitt. David joined the US Army shortly after Pearl Harbor and retired as a Lt. Colonel after 30 plus years of service and moved to the Pentagon as a Senior Budget Analyst. He spent the rest of his working days there and continued to live in his same wonderful apartment in Arlington, VA until he moved to Tucson to be with family. He never married but was beloved by his family and his nieces and nephews. He received and added something to their and their children's lives. His entire family was his primary family over a lifetime. He had numerous friends in the D.C. area but to his dismay, life took most of them before he left for his final earthly address in Tucson. He will be remembered and missed with love by friends and family. Graveside Service Friday, January 4, 2008, 12:00 P.M. at Evergreen Cemetery, Temple Emanu-El Section, with Rabbi Benjamin Sharff officiating. Military honors by Fort Huachuca Honor Guard. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY, N. Oracle & W. Miracle Mile.
