Deborah LINDSTROM-CARRABBA

LINDSTROM-CARRABBA, Deborah Debbie, age 68, passed away on September 9, 2017, after a long battle with carcinoid cancer. Debbie was born at Tucson Medical Center, and lived in Tucson until the early 1950's when her family moved to the Chicago area. Upon her father's death, her mother returned to Tucson to join extended family members. Debbie followed in the 1970's to raise her own family and be near her mother. While raising her family, Debbie worked in the Tucson school system and helped pioneer one of TUSD's first computer education labs. Debbie continued to work in the school system after her children were grown, eventually retiring to her home in the Catalina Foothills. Debbie was predeceased by her parents, Charles "Bill" and Eva Lindstrom, and her brother, Jeff Lindstrom. Debbie is survived by her husband, Bruce Carrabba; son, Michael Hilligoss of Tucson; son, Thomas Hilligoss of Bowie, MD and daughter, Laurie of Phoenix. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Dianne Lindstrom of Crete, IL; niece, Kris Coen of Kenosha, WI; nephew, Kirk Lindstrom of Homewood, IL and many great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family. In accordance with Debbie's wishes, there will be no public memorial service or funeral. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a gift be made to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation in her honor. Arrangements by DESERT ROSE HEATHER.
