Duane Reeder Obituary

Duane L. Reeder 77, went to be with our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on March 1, 2011, after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. Duane was born in Osborne, KS to Joe and Susie Reeder and later moved to Colorado. He was in the Army from 1953-1956 and served in Korea. He eventually owned his own Acoustical Tile Construction business in Colorado and later moved to Arizona. Duane is survived by his wife, Janice Reeder; his three children, Debbie Shelton of Colo. Springs, CO, Bob Reeder of Lakewood, CO and Patty Kalmbach of Broomfield, CO. He also has 16 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five step-daughters. He was preceded in death by one sister and is survived by two other sisters, one brother and many nieces and nephews. He was loved by those at his church and will be greatly missed. A viewing will be on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Duane will be laid to rest on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. also at EAST LAWN. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the NORD Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to you. It was an honor to have met Mr. Reeder. Even when I knew he was not feeling well he would always have a warm and welcoming smile when I said hello to him.

I will truly miss him. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
