Earl Williams was a great and very gentle person. Came to Kenya severally with his late Son Daniel Williams and Late Pastor Douglas Mchughes. Now a Young Man again beyond the curtain of time.

Have comfort in knowing that God is close to those who are brokenhearted. Because of God's love expressed through the ransom sacrifice of his Son, Jesus Christ, we can look forward to seeing our loved ones again. He keeps them all in his memory. May you find comfort, strength and hope in the Father of comfort and tender mercies.

I have been blessed to know Brother Earl and Sister Helen and their family. It was an honor to spend time with them over the years and I will cherish those visits. I know he is where he lived his life to be.

Both Rose Marie and myself have known Earl since 1958. At that time we were fellow college students at ASU in their Geology Dept. We received degrees from there. Life was interesting then because we all had the same teachers and it was a small department. Why he was there is a good question because he was a successful water driller in Tucson, AZ. He explained that he enjoyed the friendship of all of us and that was part of his path in life including geology and finding God in us. He could leave you speechless with that one. Basically, he was a problem solver for our group and also had good geology opinions for our tough assignments. I saw him recently and he hadn't changed much in over 55 years. It was then that we met Helen in Prescott for the first time. What a delightful conversation we had. We love them both. I don't think he'll rest much in heaven as he has too much to do there, however he will do his best wherever he chooses. Doug and Rose Marie Knight (Pueblo West, CO).

First, my Sympathy to Helen and the Williams Family in the loss of their Father, Earl H. Williams.
I first met Earl in the fall of 1959 when I enrolled in the Geology Department of Arizona State College (now University). My parents had moved to Arizona from Michigan to escape the cold weather and for us it was a new adventure in Phoenix where I didn't know a soul. Earl was one of the first gentlemen I met while entering the Department of Geology at ASU. Earl, being the most Senior of the group that entered that year, was like our older brother. Whenever we had problems we asked Earl for advice. He was also the Spiritual leader of the group as well. Earl was always there to help us no matter what the situation was.
Earl was man of modest means. He drove a green pickup and often wore a shinny steel hard-hat. He came across as a tough hombre but deep down, he had a heart bigger and softer than anyone I have ever known. It was Earl who often drove me to and from school (Phoenix to Tempe) and provided me a job when things were really hard (which was always). It was his lovely wife Helen who stood by Earl and help him to blossom into the gentlemen who was so wonderful, gentle and kind. As Earl was like a big brother to me, Helen was like my big sister. I have known a lot of fine and outstanding gentlemen in my life, Earl certainly would be placed up at the top of the list.
As mentioned in an earlier comment, Earl was the Senior member of a group of six geological students at Arizona State University who later would be known as the "Horsemen". The term, coined by my late friend and brother in Christ, Alan H. Miller, was in reference to a group of young men who, because of their association with one another (which was more like a Family and Team than just ordinary students) always hung out together. I am proud to say I was included in that group of outstanding men. We did just about everything together, lead in part by our "Big Brother" Earl. From standing on a Well Drilling Platform over near Goodyear, Arizona to sleeping on the Moenkopi Shale up at Flagstaff, we did just about everything imaginable.
I, and the remaining "Horsemen" will miss Earl greatly. While WE lost a wonderful friend in Earl, WE gained a wonderful and powerful voice in Heaven on our behalf. As mentioned earlier, Earl was a dedicated Christian Husband, Father and Friend. Earl H. Willian, like the late Billy Graham, didn't just "Talk the Talk", "He Walked the Walk".
THANK YOU EARL FOR BEING PART OF THE MOST WONDERFUL MEMORIES OF MY LIFE. PLEASE SAVE A PLACE AT THE TABLE FOR ME AND THE REST OF THE HORSEMEN WHO ARE ON OUR WAY TO JOIN YOU.

Earl was one in a million! He was a very special friend, especially to my late husband, Al Miller, who, with Earl and 4 others from ASU called themselves The Six Horsemen. Earl, Al, Ron, Karl, Art and Doug were good friends for over 55 years. Earl's work and personal ethic were above reproach; a faithful, fun man from the start!!
