I learned of Eddie's transition to a better place thru the College of Pharmacy news. I first met Eddie when we were both Pre-Pharmacy Students. He and I were 2 of only 3 Mexicans in our class, so there was a special unspoken bond between us. We were friends all thru Pharmacy School and I will always remember him with that gentle smile that never seemed to leave his face. I know that you will miss him, just remember that when you love someone they always stay with you.
Sincerely, Dionicia (Camarena) Raines

I just read the sad news about Ed in the U of A Pharmacy newsletter. I met Ed when I worked as an intern at El Rio back in the late 90's. He was on the staff with Mr. Robles, Jesus and John and they seemed to really enjoy working together. I fondly remember Ed as a mentor, great story teller, golf enthusiast, wonderful sense of humor, and a man very proud of his family. He always took the time to not only help me out with work related matters but to find out about my life outside the world of pharmacy.

Ed will be missed and I am sure he loves playing golf on the fairways in heaven.

May perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in peace.

I was blessed to have had Ed as my brother-in-law. He was kind, funny and he always gave good advice if you needed it. He will be missed dearly. I know he will be looking down at us and saying to himself, "Oh no, another Prado reunion!"

My dearest Gloria and family. With such sorrow I express my heart felt condolence. Even though I only knew Eddie briefly, I saw a quiet and polite man.

I pray for your peace of mind and comfort that God will take care of Eddie and look after you, his gracious and beloved spouse, for as long as I've known you.....you were every so sweet and gentle.

I wish I could take the pain and the tears away that you are experiencing, but that would only take away the love and the beautiful memories that you have of Eddie.

God bless you and much love.

Please accept my condolences. I knew Eddie when we were undergraduates at the UofA and have not seen Eddie since graduation. Last time I saw him he gave me a bottle of Seagrams 7 for the help I gave him to pass organic chemistry. That was not his favorite class. He did not have to give me the whisky especially when money was hard to come by for students but that is the type of person he was.

Ed was a wonderful man. He took such an interest in all of us and we will miss him very much. He requested our prayers and as we pray for him, we are comforted by knowing that he is watching over us now in heaven, happy and pain-free. Until we see you again Ed, thank you for everything!

With love,
