Walo Fleischer, 52, husband, son, brother and dear friend to all passed away on September 29, 2016. Walo's true nature was one of acceptance and love and he shared this gift with all of us.
Walo grew up in Nogales, Arizona the third of six children. Many remember him as a young boy with big green eyes full of wonder. He attended Nogales High School where he was known by his friends and classmates as the heart and soul of the class of '82. As President of Nogales High School, Walo found his passion for his community and others and he continued to share this gift with those he met when he attended the University of Arizona. Walo was an avid sports fan but his heart belonged to the Wildcats, often traveling to see a game with friends. After graduating from the University of Arizona, Walo packed his bags for Los Angeles, where he met his wife Deanne. Together they continued to build a life together and recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary.
An avid traveler and music lover, Walo's real and abiding passions were his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Deanne; his mother, Mary; his brothers, Dickie (Jackie), Johnny (Gracie) and Jose; his sisters, Mary (Steve) and Anna (Matthew); his many nephews and nieces, a great-nephew and great-niece, all his aunts and uncles and cousins and his dog, Elliott that he loved so much. He is preceded in death by his father, Dickie Sr. who greeted him with a big "abrazo" in heaven.
A Memorial Service will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Nogales, Arizona on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
In honor of Walo, please continue to share your love and heart with others, spend time with your friends and family, take a walk on the beach or a hike in the mountains and make a toast to enduring friendships lifelong and beyond.
